Pre G2 contender 30-30

I have a contender in 30-30 super 14 stainless that I am thinking about selling but need to get an idea of PRICE before I put it on the classified section.  It has the standard synthetic grip and fore end.  The 30-30 barrel is new never fired, sights have been removed for scope mounting with weaver bases and rings attached.  I plan on having pics avail when I put the ad in.  Any help appreciated

Just purchased a Contender Stainless frame with a grip for $200.00 plus 20.00 shipped to my FFL person. There were about 3 or 4 on another site in the last week for the same. Barrels average $150.00 and up to 200.00 with rings and base shipped. I have purchased several stainless and blue for 150.00 and some shipping. I say one the other day, ss frame, grip, 223 super 14 brl ss, and rings and base for 400.00. Didn't need another .223 or I would have taken it home. Hope this helps.

Is the frame Stainless also?

You're likely to get more if  you sell the frame and barrel separately, I'm guessing.  Used Contenders in local gunshops here in Ohio run fairly low.  I bought my Contender with 10" .44 mag barrel for $225, and they had another in the case with Super 14 .30-30 for $240.  Both were blued, so I expect you might get a little more for SS.  But if you got $225 for the frame and $175 for the barrel you might be ahead a little more than selling the gun whole.
