I think I have seen a photo of some wooden 1911 grips with "US" stamped or burned in to them. I would like to have a pair if I can find them.
 Any ideas?

Texgun,
Springfield Armory uses such a grip on their 1911 military repro. guns.  You might contact them for a pair.
