Yup 338 JDJ #2 Elk was about 70 yards. One shot just above the heart, ran about 20 yards. Using Barnes 185 Tripple Shock. Jerry J

Nice Elk Jerry,
Good to know it works! :) Trying to collect enough $$$$ to order me one for the Encore just for that sized critter.

338 JDJ #2 based on the 444 Marlin case. Thompson Center G2. SSK 14" bbl. 185gr Barnes Triple Shock. 47 grains AA 2520. CCI Large Rifle primer. Velocity 2350fps. This same powder and charge weight as the 200gr Nosler BT showing the dime group also posted on this forum. The BT group was a three shots at 100 yards. This grouped a little larger around 3/4 to an inch. It is a very consistent load and though not a real rip snorter it is a good performer.  Jerry J

Jerry---thanks for the load info---I've been using 50gr 4064 under a Nosler 210gr Partition In my 14 inch .338 JDJ #2 and have found it a good load----but I've been curious about the TSX bullets---load data is a little scarce for the .338 JDJ and JD seems to be wary of the Barnes bullets---even the TSX. I'd like to try them in 6.5 and .376 JDJ's also----I'm not a pioneer----but the TSX appears to be the best of all worlds in theory----your real world test proves they  work!!! pg
