Does anybody know if the scopemount for the Taurus model 62 will fit the Rossi model 62?

I think Taurus and Rossi merged at least that is what I have heard so it might not be a bad idea if you do not have the info yet to email Taurus and ask them. Jim
Said I never had much use for one, never said I didn't know how to use it.

Rossi M.62/Taurus 62 scope mount

From personal experience, the Taurus 62 scope mount indeed works on the Rossi M.62.....at least with the round barrel.  You're probably aware, the scope sits well in front of the action, so it needs to be a so-called extended eye relief model.  Also, it won't withstand much rough handling, as windage can easily be bumped one way or the other. Moving target acquisition is a bit tough with the limited field available.  For these reasons, I opted away from the scope mount and found the tang mounted peep a better option. To each his own.
