I have to agree with the previous two posts. Hodgdon "Extreme" powders are fabulous.

Varget

To Fred McIntire; No disrespect intended, but if you don't mind me asking, what is the load that you use Varget with 100gr. bullets in a 25-06? What kind of accuracy and velocity do you get? I use Varget in my 308 and 223 but I have never heard of it being used in a load for the 25-06, with 100gr. bullets or any weight for that matter. I like Varget alot and would like to try it in my 25-06 if there is a published load data in a manual somewhere. Thank You!

Got this off of the Hodgen web site:

100 GR. NOS PART VARGET 44.0gr.  3125fps  51,400 CUP

Couldn't tell ya how accurate it is.

I'm getting accurate reloads with 120 and 100 grain pellets with IMR 4350.

Thanks Warf! I was kinda surprized that Varget was mentioned, but it  could'nt hurt to try it in the off season I guess, never know I might even learn something if I'm not careful.   Good Shooting!
