I just signed up for this so hopefully i get some good feed back. I've noticed that alot of the coon i have caught this year have been alot smaller than usual.  Also if anyone has any snaring tips i'm just learning to use them.  I'm setting 50 this week.  Fox and coyote tips are also very welcome.

Hi Ohiotrapper, glad to see I'm not the only Buckeye on here! What part of the state are you from? It seems that my coons have been either small or large nothing in between. Sorry I'm not a good one to be given advice on sets and snare because this is my 2nd year trapping. But in my 2 years caught 7 fox with only 6 sets in the 2 years. What has worked for me the best is the flat set. Then the step down dirt hole set that Ace uses. And snares I like the crawl under fence sets. I lok for where they have been going under by finding tracks and fur on the bottom wire, and hang a snare.Wish I could be more help.
