Guys,
Just wanting to know if I can shoot "22 shorts" in my model 60. I know that it says LR only but, I'm not wanting them to cycle thru, I just want to shoot them individually to shoot coons that I have trapped at point blank range. I have been shootin them with the LR's and it makes a big bloddy mess.

You can shoot anything you want thru a model 60.It's not going to hurt the gun,but it may jam and not eject.

You will have to cycle them one at a time and it may not feed thru the tubular magazine. Also if you shoot very many shorts in it you may not be able to go back to shooting long rifle shells due to ringing the chamber and lead build-up where the chamber meets the rifling. :eek:

Travis CCI makes a load called the "CBlong" it's a CB load in a long rifle case. That will keep your chamber clean and hold down noise to air rifle levels, but they won't cycle or eject.
