Lonely mountain rifle seeks voluptuous prairie carriage.
« on: January 20, 2003, 05:41:53 AM »
Down here in Texas we have acquired a very fine Confederate Mountain Rifle tube made by Steen Cannons. Before investing the money and effort needed to build a carriage, we thought that we would see if there are any mountain howitzer owners anywhere in the TX-LA-OK-NM area (or continental US, for that matter) interested in combining resources on this project. Only minor modifications to a First Model Prairie Carriage are needed (i.e., remove the rondelles) to accommodate a mountain rifle.

Our target date for competition is CWSA Nationals, which will be held in San Antonio on June 26,2003 (N-SSA units are invited). We also eventually want to compete in the N-SSA Nationals at Ft. Shenandoah (Winchester, Va).

If you are interested, or know of anyone else who may be interested, please e-mail me or call (830/896-1688 after 5 PM).
