I don't know much either. But I know it started out as a US military project. And that it can drive a 250 gr bullet at 3000 fps. Basically an anti-personal round, but with a 250 gr AP, will penetrate light armor (steel) alittle over 1/2" thick at a 1000 meters. According to some, it's more accurate, and better suited than the 50 BMG out to 1500 meters. I read somewhere what it's case capacity is, but forgot. I think it's fairly close to the 416 Rigby. I see if I can find more, I got a full write up somewhere.

Well it is, basically, a 416 Rigby shortened about .200", and will burn 100 grs. H 1000 behind a 250 gr. bullet. (only 41.9# @ 16.4 fps recoil, 10 # rifle)

See this page http://www.parrysgunsmithing.com/ for the longest ever recorded kill. 3,125 yards with a 338 Lapua.

I simply must have one.
