Not legal here in Bama. Heck this is the first season that turkey decoys are legal. Bama was the last state in the nation to legalize turkey decoys and likely will be the last to legalize deer decoys if it ever happens.

To bad GB, they work good. I am taking my son out tonight and see if he can get a buck. He has not shot a buck yet and would love to have one mounted next to his first doe.  :D

Id give em a try, but Id rather not spend that kinda money only to have it full of holes by the end of the season. Too many hunters around here to NOT have at least ONE guy shoot the damn thing.

My mom had a decoy out this opening day. She had a few come in to the bati, but the decoy spooked them so she said. She hasn't really done too much hunting with one yet. I think a decoy may be not so good deep in the woods. It might be great for hunting out in a field in my neck of the woods.

JHM, sorry to hear about the heart surgery. I hope you recover soon and get back in that stand!  :D

Redhawk1,
I use 2 of the Renzo feeding doe decoys, everytime I go out and have good reactions to them everytime. I use 35mm film canisters with cotton balls in them that have vanilla extract on them and set one by each decoy. I have always had excellent reactions to the vanilla extract.

Good hunting, Bowhunter57

Have a buddy, who uses one.  He has had 3 different bucks actually mount the decoy, and one knocked it over!  He put doe-in-heat, on the tail end, and one buck "unloaded" all over the back end! :)
