Any one pump repeaters around with a little power?
« on: December 12, 2004, 11:04:13 AM »
A nephew of mine has also decided to get a fun gun to shoot with me and his cousins (my boys). He wants a one pump repeater that has a little spunk to it. My oldest kids grizzly is fun but only gets a little over 300fps. He's hoping to get closer to 600fps. He's not looking for anything fancy, something under $60. What's out there?

By one pump repeater do you mean that you're looking for a pneumatic or a spring gun? You're not going to find much like that in an SSP gun, especially for $60. The Crosman 781 is a 5-shot repeater, but you won't see 500 fps out of it, let alone 600. Gamo makes a spring gun repeater thats not too expensive(about $200)and there are a couple others that cost quite a bit.

Bama76,

The Tech Force 97 shoots 900 fps. in a .177 caliber and 750 fps. in a .22 caliber.  Has a C-T-C accuracy rating of 0.15” at 10 meters and is grooved for scope mounting.  This is a single shot, under lever that sells for only $79.96 from Compasseco, Inc..  A great company to due business with.  If you want to read what Tom Gaylord had to say about this rifle go to http://www.compasseco.com/article_tf97_flagship.htm or to view this rifle(and the rest of the Tech Force line) go to http://www.compasseco.com/shop/products.html?maingroup=Tech%20Force%20Air%20Guns&secondgroup=Air%20Rifles and scroll down to the model 97.  If you have any questions PM me and I would be glad to answer them.  Lawdog

The IZH-61 is a Russian 5-shot repeater. It cocks with a side-lever, and advances the magazine at the same time. They are bull-pup design that many owners report fit a youngster well.
