I don't know for sure buddy......... sounds kind of risky don't you think? You'll want to contact the original manufacturer (you don't say what muzzle loader you have) I"m sure they will let you know. It is a rifled barrel, not smooth bore and as long as the charge is packed tightly against the powder charge. I would try using a sabot to load the shot into. Why not just use the muzzle loader as intended and shoot for the head?
