How do you guys like the 10 gauge handi?I am looking for a shotgun to hunt turkeys and coyotes.Also can you get different chokes for it?THANKS

I have an ultra slugger with the heavy 12ga. I sent it back and got a 10ga full choke for turkeys and such......

I love it. It's the coolest. My buddies all hate shooting it, but I truely enjoy it........

i have a nef 10ga turkey gun and i love it now that i got it to pattern like i wanted.the stock choke tude didnt work out for me so i got an aftermarket choke tube and i have a friend that does forcing cones on shotguns.he did the cone on my 10ga and after this was done along with the Comp n Choke the guns is a great shooter. a real tight pattern a long ways out with lead shot.great gun now.i paid around $55.00 for the tube and 30 big ones for the lengthening of the forcing cone.this does add to the price of the shotgun but you might have to have that done on any new gun.you just dont know until you get a gun and pattern it on paper

MACHINIST, I own a 10 gauge Handi but it's the waterfowl special with the 32 inch barrel. I love it! Goose season ends the 21st of Dec here and I think it's going back to the factory for a shorter barrel for turkeys and such.

I was a bit nervous to say the least the first time I shot it. I was told it would take my shoulder off. NOT! With the gun weighing 9.5 pounds, it's a pussy cat to shoot. Who's to say what it'll be like with the shorter tube. Oh by the way, H&R shotguns use the same chokes as Browning (Invector chokes NOT Plus). Just in case you want to compare choke prices before you buy. Sometimes I'll see odd-ball chokes in the clearance bin at local stores, worth a look.
