William Peep Sight for Encore ML
« on: October 25, 2004, 07:00:28 AM »
My state law forbids scope power over 1X mag. Shooting in near dark conditions Ive heard many experience less than favorable results using a scope?

Just put in a order for a Williams Peep Sight at Midway for Encore 209x50ML.Was told by the TC technician many liked using it with the fiber optic from sight.

Was wondering if anyone on the board has or is using one at present and if so do you like or dislike?
Thanks-Plainsdrifter

I put a Williams peep on my Rem 700 ML and it has a fiber optic front site and I love it!  Lat deer I shot with it was at the end of the day and she was in the shadows on the edge of a field and I didn't have any problems seeing her.

Good luck with your setup!

Sounds encouraging! Will have to give it a try.
I have a Burris 1X scout scope waiting in background also but may not have to use.
In N.D. we are blessed with an extra half hour after sunset shooting allowance but cursed with a 1power limitation on a muzzle rifle.

Lots of fun nonetheless.        plainsdrifter

I mounted a Williams peep to my Apex muzzleloader and do like it alot .  It IS friggin' amazing how much better the peep is for a middleaged character like me to use over an open sight , and the fiber optice front bead DOES work real nice with the peep .

You won't be sorry if you mount the peep .

I recently set up an Encore with a Williams peep sight.  The sight is great, but... I could not get enought elevation out of it to shoot 100yds with the factory fiber optics.  I could shoot excellent groups.

T/C offered to fix the problem, but with season around the corner I mounted a 4X Leupold.  I'll let T/C fix it over the summer!

Good luck,
