I need help, anybody have a source for 38-55 jacketed bullets besides Barnes ? I don't care to pay an arm and a leg for them.

For jacketed bullets suitable for use in the .38-55, the place to go is Northern Precision for excellent bullets for any rifle or sixgun. They ship from 329 S. James St., Carthage, NY 13619; phone: (315) 493-1711.

There is a company in Wa called Boer (I think ) bullets that makes a 220gr bullet especially for the 38-55.  It was reviewed by a gun mag some months ago and got very good review.  Can't find it on the web just yet though.  I'll keep trying.  Also do not know about cost.

Expensive jacketed bullets are a way of life with these guns.  Mine is a 375 Win model 94.  Not only are the heavy bullets expensive, they are hard to find.
God, Family, and guns, in that order!
