Okay, I know this is going to sound like bs.
Although it is true.
Last night I went out and picked up some callers, all differnt kinds. I happend to pick up some coyote howlers and a raspy rabbit with soft coaxer reed.
I have had luck with other callers in the past, but, never much luck with yote callers. So, my dad has about 275 acers of land about 2 miles from my house. So, about midnight I went into the field with the rabbit predator call and a pair of night vis. b.nocks, found my way to the tree stand and climbed up into it. I was mostly testing them out and did not think I would call any thing in. I was mostly hoping to see somthing, I have had much luck here over the 4 years my dad has owned the land I have killed about 45-55 yote. Plus Im bring a buddy of mine out there saterday, he is a first timer, so I have been scouting the area for a week or so, in hopes he will have a good hunt.
Liked I figered I did not see any thing, so I went home.
Well, while in my drive way I was in the car with the window down a little and playn with the soft reed coaxer. I wanted a little more practice and I did not want to wake up the wife. After about 3 or 4 minutes I was ready to go inside. About that time I looked out my window and in a shadow about 50 feet out was a damn yote. Nice one too, looked like a male, about 35 pounds. I was so shocked, I could not even go for the .44 on my front seat. I kinda jumped and was like "o, sh&* and I could tell the yote was like "o sh&*" and ran off. I tried calling him back to show my wife that I ended up waking up anyway. But, he never came back.
Just thought I would share. If we get some this weekend, Ill post pics. If that is okay with GB.
Dave.
