.44 Mag Load information????
« on: February 06, 2003, 01:36:31 PM »
New to .44mag reloading.  I've got some Meister Bullets 240gr RNFP, and have H110 powder.

These bullets have a brinnell hardness of 14-16.

Can these be treated as regular hard cast?

I was thinking Win. brass, CCI 350 primer and 21grs of H110????

What do you think?  Will leading be a problem?

Thanks,
Steve

Same here. I'm also new to .44 Mag reloading for use in M-94 Carbine. Under which circumstances do I need to use gas checks?

I like gas checks on all bullets that are gonna travel over about 1200 fps, my Ruger #3 in 44 mag won't shot anything without a gascheck worth a hoot, but shines with both LBT 305 WFN gas check and Lyman 429244 gas check both over stout loads of H110.  I think unless your gonna shoot cowboy loads in that 44 carbine that GC is the way to go amigo.

My opinion only.
