December 1RST! ouch i feel bad for you mine starts this coming Friday (November 5th) and i already have all of my sets figured out :grin:

Howdy,  I have been checking their have no new posts in days!
Wow, glad somebody is still out there.
Our season down here in Texas is dec-jan.   60 days
Not near enough for me,  however since taking up trapping Hog, the season for trapping is  'cool enough to butcher Hog till its not...'

Here in Minnesota,my water season opened yesterday.Just got home from the forst check--time to start skinning.

mine started the 23rd of Oct, but we had a little flooding this past week and was lucky enough not to loose any traps.  a friend of mine has 2 otter and about 13 beaver, tomorrow morning i will be out setting in full force, this dang job thing i have isn't very fun.

most of ours started Nov 1st, then cats start Dec 1st.
I'm actually waiting until after Thanksgiving to start my line this year...so the waiting for "opener" is actually a self-inflicted one vs. regulatory. In the last few years, I've just had such a high percentage of unprime critters plus competing with upland bird and rifle deer seasons in first half of the month. Its much more fun to wait until after Thanksgiving for me and get some more solitude and quality returns on my efforts.
Of course, earlier also means generally milder weather, but I can deal with weather 99% of the time.
