Hey Longcruise, I love Quick like a brother and currently am awaiting him to show up here and help me get rid of all this ice, the tinkeling in the galss is driving me even more crazy than I usually am!!! but remember, there were no other bidders and he has offered a hand in peace and feels badly enough about it. we all have lapses into Handi-holic mania, I have been there myself numerous times, it's great fun!!!
I also already have my Bull barrelled .223 I bought from another on the old site, but if you insist on being or feeling screwed, and always being one to go out of my way to help a brother,  how about an offer of $60.00 for yours, you pay shipping, that with the $40.00 it costs me on the is end for the FFL paperwork( ) and I'll have an even hundred into it. There, now don't that make you feel as you have not been left out!!!....<><.... :-D

Ah, my good friend, Mr.  Matt "who in the world is John Galt". The salt and limes sound great but I really do not think "at this juncture" as politicians are wont to say, they would do anything to improve the "wee bit of the old mead", the national drink of the Scots, that I have under my belt.  Alas, it's not a single malt of the $'ed class, but a blend that will have to do until my ship finally comes in. Unfortunatley I have heard there have been some submarines prowling the waters off this God-forsaken sand spit they call Cape Cod and my boat just might have been torpedoed!!! Oh well, after another little bit of "squeezins" it might not matter....<><.... :-D

Carry On!!!! :D

You know guys, I would rather be up at my camp hunting but this darn addittion is taking so long to get going and help is so hard to get here on the Cape I have to stay here and try to keep things moving!!! What ever happened to hunting season!!!....<><....

Well, after reading the entire thread 3 times now, thoroughly, I wasn't the only person who threw in an offer or was dickerin for something here and I guess I got caught up in it and showed my interest in the wrong way, for that I apologise, never meant to screw up anyones deal. Now that I have thoroughly soiled my reputation (and my underwear after reading MSP's chastising! ), I'll get back to business at hand, that is after I have that drink as promised, I need it! Thanks, MSP!  Sorry to you too, Jeff and anyone else that I offended by my actions.

Heck Quick, I wasn't offended, and where the heck are you, I keep putting new ice in your glass, it's melting faster than I can full it here next to the woodstove!!! If you don't make it here to this sand spit to help get rid of this national drink of Scotland tonight then you will have to make it up to camp some year soon to help us out there!!!....<><....

msp, john galt is in all of us.

that part of us who reaches for the stars and lives for himself and honors above all the self and the truth and the freedom.

i imagine mr galt would help with that ice surplus if he was more than a fictional character.

but in his stead i humbly volunteer to imbibe with you.

i am going out to whack bambi on monday, if youre interested. maybe you can sneak away for that?

Would that I could Mr. Galt II, Would that I could...

I am afraid that this year every plan I have is waylaid. It was much easier to get time off before I retired!!! My newest scenario has me leaving for a buddies camp in central Mass for a few days of Shotgun season from about 12/01 to 12/04, then on to my camp in Maine for a week of Muzzle from 12/06 to 12/11. This plan of course is the target of many unforseen and unknown problems, not the least of which is my own worry the building here will get so screwed up in my absence it will not be able to be rectified without a LARGE expediture of additional funds, which are not available. Better to find errors early and have the workers complain than to let them go and have to tear them down later or live with them forever, something I really don't want to do....<><....

P.S. thanks for the invite, maybe next year, unless of course fate finds you in Maine for Hunting season!!! There is always room for you....

MSP.
Well such as it is.....The plans of mice and men. eh?  My 'smith is from your part of the country originally.  Will have to ask him just exactly where he is from.  I think NH.  He married an Okie girl when he was in the Army and settled here in SC Ok.  Sounds like a good time up there in the snow and woods.  We seldom have much snow down here.  Maybe 2-4 inches a year.  Except about 10 years ago,....16 inches one night, in early March or late Feb.   Was terrible but really nice, yah know....Have a good one......

I remember that! I think I still have video footage of it somewhere. Snow like that is a major event around here.

Msp, not differing with you, just wanted to throw out the idea that Quick wasn't the only one muddying the waters

Your offer of $60 truly does give me the feeling of being screwed and I'm struggleing to keep myself from typing "deal" before you change your mind! :-D

In fact, selling guns interstate that fall into this price range is pretty much a losing proposition for buyer and seller by the time ffl's and shipping are paid :(

My son in law had the 308 I talked about earlier and it shot just like the one being discussed here.  Shot like the scope was bad but changing scopes didn't cure it.  He sold it on consignment at a local shop.
