I am looking for a web site or book on proof marks.
I have a couple of 303s one was a great uncles hunting rifle.
Was told that he got it sometime after War I.
The other is a U.S. Property gun.
I also am looking for proof marks that may have been used by other countrys.
I got a Remington 760 at a gunshop cheap.Guy said he was told it would not eject shells.Anyway chamber just need a good cleaning.
But it has a red finish on the stock and a lot of different proof marks on the barrel.Though maybe someone had taken it to other countrys while in the military.
