Where are the Green Heads hiding?

I've been hunting the open water in the middle of the lake, I've been hunting in the flooded green timber, in the dead timber beaver ponds, and in the backwater swamps; and I can't seem to find the Mallards anywhere. I know they're already down here (Texas) because some other guys I know have been killing them.
Where are you killing your Mallards at? I need all the ideas I can get...

I have had success in open water at the edge of flooded timber.  I have hunted the same area all season and have been pretty lucky with timing my trips.

From what I have heard most places in OK are light with ducks.  I found a sweet spot that is not hunted very heavy and is keeping the ducks pretty well.

We just started killing ducks last week in north Louisiana  Haven't seen too many Mallards though, but we are seeing some.  The recent rain has hurt the hunting though.  Too much water and a flooded blind.

not to many years ago the Fly way down the central valley form late Oct to December had 100,000's of birds flying all day long and into the sunset,they are now dow about 95%.

i would try N. Dakota, i live in neb, and the main migration hasnt hit us yet. hear of a lotta ducks up north yet!
