Any body else shooting the 444 Marlin in the 18" Katahdin Encore? I got one from Ed's Contender and it is a cool looking barrel. I put a Leupold VX1 3X9X40 on it. What kind of accuracy are you all getting from it? I am very familiar with the 444 Marlin, I have had it in a contender pistol barrel and 3 Marlin lever actions. I have had great accuracy using the 240 gr. bullets in it. I have shot several 320 cast performance out of it and did not get the same accuracy as the 240 gr.
