I have owned a 25MN for a number of years.  The trigger was pretty rough when I got it, but after polishing, it is much better.  Accuracy is great (1/2" - 3/4" @ 75 yards with CCI 40 gr JHP).  The only complaint I have is that the magazine sticks out at about the balance point for carrying.  For the cost I am very happy with it.  I have taken everything from squirrels to deer with it.  Shoot only in the head for small game or you will waste meat (if I don't eat it, I don't shoot it).  I won't shoot a deer beyond 75 yards, and only a brain or neck shot.

That price would be a little high for around here. But prices vary by locality. It's a solid rifle and should shoot well.

those guns cost $169 here in tennessee at walmart. real good guns. scope is a cheapo. think there $29 new, but i would trash it ammeadiatly. i would go with a simmons at least.there are some things u can do to lighten the triggers on them considerably. like replacing the trigger spring with an inkpen spring. or buying a rifle basix trigger. i think $125 is a decent price, no more than that.

i have a clip fed 25mn, replaced the trigger with adjus. one and the ugly birch stock that was on it with a camo one from marlin. had a simmons 22 mag scope but with the other upgrades i replaced it witha nikon 4X rimfire scope. i invested alittle more money than the original price of around $120 in the late eighties, was happy with it before now i'm estatic.
