I'm looking for a small lightweight .22 revolver and was leaning toward the NAA Mini Master. Does anyone have one they can report on? I've got one of the NAA Mini's with a 1-5/8" barrel,but I was looking for something I could actually aim and use as a pot and trail gun. Any info would be appreciated.

NAA would not be my first choice...

I would suggest something a little larger/more traditional. Admittedly, these will probably all be heavier than the NAA, but should be more "shootable."

Several choices that I think would be more practical (some discontinued :cry: ), but perhaps more money than you had in mind:
-S&W 317 (Airweight, 8-shot, $400 used in my neck of the woods)
-S&W 63 (SS, 6-shot, 2 or 4" barrel, discontinued/can be difficult to find)
-Ruger SP101 (SS, 6-shot, 2 or 4" barrel- 2" discontinued, 4" short-shroud discontinued in favor of full-length underlug)
-Taurus 94 (blue or SS, 2 to 5" barrel, 9-shot)

All have fully adjustable sights, except the Ruger (windage-only)

All of these are bigger than the NAA, but I think they're a lot more practical and/or versatile.

Thanks for the input. I've got several .22 handguns,but I was looking for something a little lighter (10 oz.) and smaller than my MKII Target or my SP101. Like I posted earlier it will only be used as a pot and trail gun and will not see a lot of use,just a lot of carrying. :-)

Have you considered the Ruger Bearcat? Admittedly it is 24oz and it is a single action, but it is a great little revolver. Good luck in your hunt!

I thought that this would be the perfect gun for which you describe a pot and trail gun. I had a friend who had one and finally got out to shoot it. It couldn't group on a tin can at 15 feet. That cured me from wanting one of these pistols. I've been looking at the Smith 317 a bit pricey but would fill the bill. Jerry J

Thanks again for the input.I went to the gun shop today and looked over several .22 revolvers (incl.the NAA).After a while I decided on a Taurus 94 ss with a 4" barrel,it was a little heavier than the NAA,but thats OK.I liked the new bead blasted finish and the 9-shot capacity.I hope I don't have any quality issues with the Taurus after hearing some of the negative reports,but if I do the shop owner said that he would take care of it :-) .
