:grin: I'm hoping some-one can help me find out something about this 67A. It's shorter than the "boy's rifle". The bbl is 16 1/4", LOP is 10 3/8", OAL is 29". It has a Lyman 57EW peep-sight on it. My Grand-father said he bought the gun new just like it is some where in Alabama. Don't know when or where. From looking at the crown, sight dove-tail, and factory Winchester butt-plate, it does'nt appear to be cut down. I've searched thru Win. books and can't find any history on a 67 that came from the factory this short. :? Thanks in advance for any help.

Other than the target sights it looks alot like some frogging guns I've seen. I also had a shortened Remington Targetmaster that was lost by my brother between traplines when it fell out of a rust hole in his trunk. Sorry I can't be more help.

Found your gun in the Gun Digest Modern Gun Values 11th Edition. It is a Model 67 Junior or Boy's Rifle. The specs list the barrel as 20" and not the 16 1/4" you measure. Measure the entire barrel including the chamber and see if it's 20". There might have been a mix-up in the measurements that got carried on throughout the years. Good condition is $200.

Flash, I've seen the the model they call the boy's rifle, this one is shorter, both the barrel and stock. :?

I have a Model 67 also and the barrel length is longer
than any specs I have seen in any books. Just another oddity
from the factory I suppose. They are superb shooters though!
