Well guys and gals it would seem that one of the last bastions of real honest Customer Service has gone the way of the Doo Doo Bird and Passenger Pigeon.
I recently sold off the last of my original Contender frames. The plan was to convert to G2s completely. I now have my first G2 frame in house and when I tried it I found it worked on half my barrels and doesn't on the other half. So as in years past when I have a problem I called TC Customer Service (boy is that now an oxymoron) for assistance.
I was told to send it all in for them to fix. They will no longer send out replacement bolts to fix this problem. And on by the way he said it is dangerous to use all those they sent out in years past apparently. At least he now says it's dangerous to do that. Strange! Is that an admission that for years they have intentionally been doing dangerous things? If so does that then make them liable if someone gets hurt?
Dunno. All I know is the TC of today is NOT the TC of yesteryear. :eek:
I'm gonna sleep on it. But I think I'm finished with TCs. Been some time since I really had the urge anyway to take one hunting. Reckon all my stuff will be up for sale soon if any of you want to take advantage of it. Yeah to include a new unfired G2 frame that works with 50% of the barrels I have here. :roll:
With all the problems folks have reported regarding TC products over the years the one constant was at least they were willing to bent over backward to make things right. I no longer see that willingness.
So to TC I say this. You'll never see one more red cent of my money. And no one will again see one more word from me good about the company. Put me on the side of the TC bashers cuz that's where I am now.
