Who can make a mold?

Looking for someone to make a STEEL or IRON mold for a 2 1/4" round ball.... don't want aluminum or brass.  Know of anyone who makes these?

Did you look on the Cannon Supply Resource list at the top of the forum?

Here are the mould suppliers. the first two probably only have smaller moulds in brass or aluminum, not what you want.  But inquire of them.  the last four all have steel moulds.  They don't list the size you want , but again inquire.  JT Moulds does say they will make a mould to size.  Smoothbore and Matisrud are custom mould makers and definitely will make you mould to size.

If the above suppliers fail, check out a local machine shop. I have all mine made locally. According to my guy it's a simple procedure. He starts with a piece of round bar stock, cuts it in half, drills two locator pins and cuts the cavity. Once I saw how the process was accomplished it was "DUH", how simple. While the milling machine cut the cavity (that took some time) he was doing other projects and thus I was not charged for some of his time.
