.32 Long in new model 1894CB .32 H&R Magnum?
« on: November 15, 2004, 04:00:06 AM »
I notice that Marlin now has an 1894CB chambered in .32 Magnum. Does anyone know if .32 S&W Longs will function in this model?
The reason I ask. My son and I shoot .32 S&W Longs when we plink with our .310 Martini Cadets. We also have a Colt Police Postive for this cartridge. Not to mention a couple thousand rounds of ammo. I've wanted a lever action plinker for a good long time, and this rifle looks like the ticket to me, if I can use ammo that I already have. All of the revolvers that were chambered for the .32 Mag will shoot .32 Longs just like you can shoot a .38 spl in a .357. I'm hoping this carbine is the same.
Any help out there?
Dave

Will it ever be?  For under a grand?  Last I saw MSRP was $895....Ouch!

As far as feeding .32 Longs:  .357 and .44 Mags fire their little brothers, right?  So I'd assume the new Marlin would as well.

Oooh, I hope so.  $600, that is.  I saw that number on Gunbroker.com, I think it was.

Hello Everyone,

I called Marlin in November and they told me they would release the 32 H&R in 45 days.  That would put release date around the 20th of December.  But please don't hold me to that.  The original release date was in late September/early October.

Also, the 1895RL was discontinued because of lack of interest and costly engineering.

I would probably expect Marlin to release the .32 in early January.

I have been waiting for one since early this year.

Just an F.Y.I.
