Marlin Glenfield 70 Aftermarket Trigger - Help
« on: January 29, 2005, 06:22:59 AM »
Hey Folks,  Been away from GBO for a while.. Tis good to be back.

Was going through the gun locker the other night for the ceremonial wipe down and ran across a little cheap Marlin Glenfield 70 semi auto.. It's a handy and fun little rifle but teh trigger is awful..  The trigger takes the fun out of it really.

Are there any aftermarket triggers for this  like there are for the MArlin bolt actions?   If not, it's going as trade material at the next show.

Thanks,  Scout :D

No aftermarket triggers for marlin semis.
You might be able to polish it to help. :(

Remove the stock and test the trigger by itself.  If you feel very much tension you can remove the trigger spring and rebend it to remove most, but not all, of it's tension on the trigger blade.  That usually helps a lot.  There's some internal stuff you can do.  If you're a fairly good gun tinkerer you can figure it out on your own.  Otherwise it's best you leave the innards alone.
