I suppose I don't really know what you are asking. There are many varieties of stocks for sale and most can be had for nearly all the common rifle models. The M7 Remington is a fairly light weight acrbine type and is probably best served by a light handy stock style, but my favorite is a mannlicher style, with the wood going all the way to the muzzle.. These can be had in any type wood you wish but one in a laminate seems to me quite appropriate for this hunting rifle.. There are also synthetics available but I really don't care for plastics... My M7 is a 222 and the factory stock serves quite well. I've had it for over 20 years...bought it as a replacement for a stolen M600.
