I'm jealous!  Nice group of rifles.  you only have one funny looking one in the group.

Handi,

I'm glad you said that.  I don't want to seem rude, but I don't think the T/C's are as attractive as the NEF's and Rossi v8r has pictured.  I just recently considered buying a T/C and ended up with a S&W mod 625-4 instead, since I knew I could get at least 4 NEF barrels for the price of the T/C with a barrel.

I really like that case hardened Hornet!

v8r,

Don't think badly of me, it's just a personal preference for me.  Of course, that may be expected, considering we're on the NEF page!

Now tell us more about the group you shot.

I totally agree paul. in my honest opinion the T/c contenders are over priced. and you could buy 2 handis for the price of a contender

v8r,
what height rings did you use on that rossi? and what type scope? i have yet to find a good low profile scope rig. I tryto use short scopes but the eye peices are so large in diameter  that they hang up on the hammer unless i use see through rings. going to try to find some scopes with smaller eyepieces so i can mount it a bit lower. thanks

Neat bunch of guns.
That Rossi is the nicest looking one I have ever seen. Most of the pictures on their own site makes them look like only one step above a 2x4.

Hey everyone thanks for the comments.I know everyone likes different things.Honestly that Rossi and my topper 158 are my favorites out of the group.I like thompson center firearms also, they make a very nice product if you can afford them.I like all single shots as long as they are well made.I like H&R and NEF products also,I have always had good luck with them.A matter of fact I am very loyal to them because ,the first single shot I ever purchased was a handi in .223.Thats the one I spoke of in a previous post saying I wish I had never sold.It was a real shooter.I have owned a ruger #1 .223,Thompson center Encore .223,and a Nef handi 30-30 all of which I sold ,some of them regretfully.                SS SHOOTER I cant tell you what brand of scope rings they are,I got them on a used scope I bought once. They are stamped with Savage rifle companies logo. The scope is a simmons 22 mag.

That is a very nice collection.   I too like the T/C’s but as you say “if you can afford them” and I can’t afford too many either.
