Hasp vs. Huntsman
« on: December 22, 2004, 11:03:30 AM »
I guess this could go on a number of NEF boards, but I have a Huntsman
/ 45-70 deal that I love... The Huntsman is just a great deer rifle. I have to have one open sighted rifle, so the 45-70 gets the nod. Fine accuracy,
and the recoil is way overblown, even by that grouchy lady at NEF.
Back in the 60's as a kid I had an old H&R single 12. The stock was great
particularly the forend that was thin and fit snugly along the barrel. Obviously, someone took the time during manufacture of both pieces of that old gun's furniture.... My question is do you all remember what i'm talking about, and has anyone else taken a hasp to that 2x4 forend and stock that come on today's handi's.
