NEW 10/22
« on: February 13, 2005, 12:25:54 PM »
:D I bought a new Ruger 10/22 Friday. I got a really good deal on it $169.00+tax out the door. It's the all weather model. This is the first Ruger I have ever owned. My son has been bugging me for one, I told him to get the grades up and I would get it. Well he got his report card Friday and it was an amazing improvement. So I bought it and took him squirrel hunting Saturday. Man this is a fun little gun. We didn't get any squirrels but we did get a few old soda cans  . Now we are already surfing the internet for the endless assesories you can get for this little puppy. I don't think it will stay factory for long. Here's a few pics.

marylandeer,

That is one of the best points about owning a Ruger 10/22 or even a 77/22.  All the after market parts that you can get to make it different from everyone else's.  I didn't like the short, stubby barrel so I went to the Green Mountain barrel(the less said about Butler Creek barrels the better).  Different release catches and trigger springs really bring out the accuracy potential of the 10/22.  You've made a great purchase so have fun shooting and playing around changing it.  Lawdog
