i mentioned in an earlier post that i was going to have an M1891 painted. i was able to upload pics and thought i'd show you what i was talking about. the examples are all USGI fiberglass M14 stocks.

it's probably cheaper than having it reblued and i wouldn't have to wait a year and a half. i'm probably going to go with a white and black winter type camo.
Those look really good, Kevin, although my preference if for the patterns that aren't pixelated.
Who does this sort of work?
Does USGI paint them in this manner or are you forking out extra for another firm to do it?
BTW, has anyone used walnut stocks and wood stains to create tiger like stripes or patterns?
I interested indoing this myself and then applying an oil finish.
