In my reloading manual there are two sets of reloading data for the 45 Colt. One set for "all other" guns and one set for Ruger/Contender. Does that latter set also apply to the Bird's Head Vaquero?

Sure, It will handle the heavy loads fine. I find that I can't shoot mine very well with heavy loads though. The gun rolls too much for me to control well. I stick to the mid range loads an found it to be very accurate. KN

If the truth be known, I'm not really interested in shooting HEAVY loads in this gun, I've got an FA 454 Casull for that foolishness! However, that tells me that it is a strong gun that should last and last.
