I have no problem with you communicating with someone regarding BUYING a barrel listed for trade as long as you do NOT do it on the trading forum.

It was requested for the EXPRESS purpose of trading and to do otherwise just defeats the prupose of my Classifieds Forum. The Classifieds Forum works so well for you guys because it is VERY heavily visited. It is visited so often because folks know of the volume of merchandise bought, sold and traded there.

So IF you do it just do it off the forum and I won't know it happened and won't get upset. But if I see offers to buy or sell very many more times on the trading forum as opposed to via other means I will close it back down and we'll return to the classifieds for all of it.

Oldman, Maybe you could just go to the classifieds forum and place a WTB ad for the barrel you want. If the person trading the barrel wants to sell they could then take it off the trading forum and contact you about buying it. If not someone else might have the same barrel they could sell you. that way I dont think it would be unethical or go against the spirit of the trading forum. Just a suggestion.
This is why I seldom look at the trading forum, as I only have one barrel for now and I want to keep it.

Thanks Bruce.  That sounds like the correct way to do things.
