Shot my 357 handi today.Tried some .38 special 125g jhp +P ammo. .It was the Remington UMC 100 round bulk pack from walmart.I thought it shot very well. The point of impact was 4 inches higher at 50 yards than .357 mag ammo with the same bullet weight????I sighted it in with the 38 ammo because it is cheaper to shoot.I really like the trigger job NEF did on it .I was also shooting my 22 hornet and the trigger seemed like it was 10 pounds compared to the 357.

v8r,
Have you tried that Hornet barrel on the .357 receiver? It may be a perfect fit and would allow you to see how the better trigger would affect the Hornet's shooting.
I have my SB2 Hornet barrel on an older H&R shotgun receiver and haven't had any problems with fit.

What kind of groups did you get from the 38's? I'm not surprised that the point of impact shifted higher. When I change loads around in my 44, I see the POI shift both directions, (low and high) depends on what I had regulated the scope to last.

It was grouping five shots around a inch or so at 50 yards.I tried a few shots at 100 yards and they were about 8 inches low and slightly to the right. The wind was blowing fairly hard yesterday.Grouping was about 2 inches if i remember right.
