What is your favorite caliber of handi rifle and what kind of groups do you get from it?

the 223 is my most favorite hands down.that rifle shot winning postal match groups before and its a great shooter.smallest 5 shot group so far was around 3/8 inch.

2nd is the 20ga ultraslug.i know a 20ga isnt a rifle but it shoots like one

3rd would be the 30-30

Jeff...those groups are just outstanding...hopefully I can get mine shrunk down to that size soon...I think with a little patince and perserverance I will be able too...and looking at that 20 ga. group...makes me put that on my to get list....

1st would be the .357max/mag

next would be the .30-30

Ultra 45-70 topped with a 3x9x42 Whitetail scope shooting 405-gr 15.0 gr of Unique with a Fed 215 LMRP.

My 30-06 Handi. I have it topped with a Shepard 4-16X40 scope and can shoot cloverleaf groups at 300 yards. I used this gun to shoot a nice Caribou in August, and a Moose in November. The Caribou was shot at 200 Yards, the Moose at 250, both were shot with a Nosler 180gr partition. One shot kills for both. The Caribou was running, I hit him behind the shoulder taking out both lungs, it ran about 75 yards then fell. The Moose was lying down. It raised it's head to look at me an I hit it in the forhead, it never even kicked. I've taken several wolves, out to 600 yards with it.

I like my .223. It averages 1.25 inch groups at 100 yds with cheap factory loads. Starting to work up some re-loads so stay posted on accuracy. maybe i'll have some fantastic groupings like those posted in this thread!

My only Handi is the Ultra 25-06

Mac11700,the picture that i posted has one target shot with my 223 and the other one is from my 30-30 barrel.i didnt post a picture of a group from the 20ga ultraslug.sorry about that.i did in fact shoot a three shot group at 50yds with that 20ga and sent it in for a postal match and Wlscott scored it.it was one ragged hole.they shoot very good

It depends on what I have in my hands at the time. Packing a 243 right now for deer but may change to the 25-06. After deer season want to play with my 17m2,

Well, I'm playing with a 44 mag. and the 4570 right now, but if I'm going to do some serious type hunting I'll stick the 280 barrel on. I'm going to try the 44 mag on hogs,and as soon as I get one with it,I'll change back to the 280. The 280 will do anything I want,and extends my range several hundred yds. I've been carrying my 444 Marlin the last 2 trips(very thick stuff) for the extra fire power. Digger

Favorite.....thats easy......my 30-06!!!!
I have had it two years, and have taken two bucks (8point,3point)

of course if i can count my huntsman on my partner frame then there might be a tie.

what about rimfire's? since i changed to a wood stock on my 22lr sportster im finding myself real fond of it too.

I guess i love them all......glad you didnt include shotguns.....

Mine is the .223 Ultra. With a 3-9X40 scope, it's dead accurate with Win. valu-packs and Ultramax 40gr. I don't reload, but with groups like this at 200yds I don't need to.

.38/.357/.357max shoots inside an inch most of the time would probably do better with a real shooter behind the sights. But I just picked up a .45-70 handi and I think its kinda growing on me already. .38s are just to much fun to shoot with kinda like a .22LR with a bigger hole in the paper.
