Trigger Job on a Taurus Raging Bull
« on: December 14, 2004, 07:19:36 AM »
Can this be done?

Gunsmith in my area told me they won't do trigger jobs on Taurus's anymore, because the job never holds, and they can't get parts. They have to send the gun back to Taurus, and it comes back with new parts, then the whole circus starts over again.

My 454 8.5" barrel has a pull of about 6 1/2 pounds.

I really can't speak to the Taurus's not holding a trigger job but I really do doubt that's totally true.  An improvement can usually be made with so little change to the parts that their failure rate should not be accelerated..  Still I've not worked this model and so can't speak with authority about it.  Perhaps a call to Cylinder&Slide might prove enlightening. BowenArms may also be of service.  They should be found on the web.  I don't have that info here just know.. Good luck!
