I have a 454 and a 45lc blackhawk. My question is a guy I know loaded some 45lc for me to shoot in my 454 and was wondering if I could shoot them in my 45lc blackhawk safley. He has moved away and I cant find the load date.Will the blackhawk hold? I have shot them in the 454 and they seem to be HOT.

Well, they'd PROBABLY be OK.  Blackhawks are hell-for-tough.  However, unless I knew for sure what someone else put between the primer and bullet, I'd probably not do that... (Call me a nervous Nelly, but at least I still have ten fingers) :eek:

I have to stedfast rules never shoot what someone else loaded and never shoot a load that has any unknown element to it. Pull the bullets and use the brass.

If I was to shoot anyone's reloads, I would have had to be there during the reloading. I like to know what I am shooting. With that being said, if you have been shooting them in your 454 and did not have a problem I would have to say shoot them. I am sure if you were going to run into a problem it would of happened already. JMO  :D
