Anyone here have a bull barrel on your Encore?  Just wondering if it is too much for a carry rifle as far as weight and balance.  Many thanks, -John.

I have a 18" bull custom shop barrel in 450 marlin. I wouldn't want to carry it all day. If I remember I'll weigh it tomorrow and let you know how much it weighs.  KN

John,
the short answer is...yes, they are heavy and..no, I wouldn't care to drag one around all day. In addtion when I put one on an Encore frame it is usually with a whole lot of scope and a custom laminated thumbhole stock.
Can you say....<heavy>?

Lot's of fun to shoot from a bench or a rest as long as it's not far from the truck, but if you gonna tote that thing all day, get a Rynite stock and a sporter barrel, for the first couple of shots they are generally just as accurate.

John, I have a 20",17Mach IV bull barrel on an Encore. It's perfectly ballanced and a piece of cake to carry. UMB
