Hey there guys. I was just wondering how hard it is to order barrels from NEF. I have a handi in .223. I was gona get a whole new gun but I dont have enough money. So, what do you guys think? Where do you send the stock? Do you just UPS it or what? This will be the first time sending anything back so i am real nervous about it. Help me out here, I would like a 357, .44 or a 45/70 in a rifle but like i said i dont have an extra hundred so i am thinking about getting a barrel. Thanks in advance guys. Henry.

Henry, think about looking for a used barrel on this site, that is the cheapest way to go. I think JPH45 had a 45-70 barrel he wanted to trade or possibly sell a while ago. Perhaps just put a WTB in the H&R calassified section...Merry CHRISTmas and good luck (if you find a 30-30 barrel for a good price and don't want it let me know!!....<><....

If you decide to order the barrel, refer to the instructions on the accessory barrel page at H&R's web site. They're closed down for the holidays, so don't be in a hurry. A normal wait will be 4-8 weeks, sometimes longer. You can also email them to inquire if a particular barrel is available.

Cool, thanks MSP and quickdtoo! I will start in the classifides and then if i have to, i will order. Is there any tax? I'd be writing a check, so its 10 bucks shiping, 15 dollar fit fee, and then the price of the barrel. Thats it right?

Since your profile on the side says you are 17 it would probably be best for it to all, check and address, to be in an adults name. I believe to ship it and I know when it gets delivered an adult has to be there.
Just a thought so that it all goes smoothly.
If you call them they should be able to tell you the exact amount and if the barrel is in stock.
