HUGE FLOCKS GEESE MOVING SOUTH
« on: September 18, 2005, 04:12:35 AM »
I'm in central Canada, above the North Dakota, Minnesota area, about 50 miles from the border.

I have never seen so many flocks of geese this early in the year...not only are there lots of flocks but they're huge...250 - 300 birds in some...they're laying up at the retaining ponds.

Mostly Canadas but some Snows.

This means we're going to have an early and cold winter, according to the Almanac.
There is a certain type of mentality that thinks
if you make certain inanimate objects illegal
their criminal misuse will disappear!

Accourding to the Old Farmers almanac, the North and Eastren states are suppose to catch it hard this winter. Get the Long John's ready, get a couple extra cans of beans, and more wood split.
