Would someone pleased tell how tight you are supposed to get the trigger guard screws when reassembling a Remington 700 BDL?

The BDL is aa 2 screw action and I get both screws started and rap the butt on the floor to seat the action.  Then tighten the front screw just snug.  The rear screw is them also just snugged down.  Then go back a tighten the front screw tight.  If the action is bedded correctly and especially if it's pillar bedded the screw tension should make little difference..

Thank you gunnut69
Finally, an explanation for the myth of action screw torquing.  Always wondered why...... if the bedding was good, is it necessary to have a special technique to torque the action screws down???????

Probably goes back to the 22 benchrest folks.  Some of those  rifles are bedded with a single screw or the receiver is quite light compared to a high powered receiver.  This means that if the bedding is not just right a particular torque setting might make a real difference.  The reality is that if the bedding is motionless the tightness of the action screws makes little difference.
