i'll probably pick up one box of 150s and one of 180s.
fed? rem? win?
core-lokts and power points always have treated me well in other rifles. just looking for a place to start - and hunt through jan. 31.

I'm shooting Winchester 150 grain Power Points in mine. Two for two on deer this year, one at about 70 yards and the other at about 100. Both ran about 30 yards with heart/lung shots.  My groups are about 2" with these and the synthetic Handi, but I am happy with that since all my hunting is at 150 yds. or less. Have been really happy with mine. Have fun.

Mine will shoot consistent groups with both win. power point (165grain), and rem cor-loc (150grain) PSP
the point of impact will change some between the two... but both will shoot close to, or inside  1inch groups.

for a hunting bullet i really like the cor-loc but if they shoot good....then there aint no (real world) difference.

I ran a box of federal's through it also....but its been so long ago that i just cant remember how they did....sorry

In my Mark V Sporter = 220's. I do all my deer inside 125yds. The rounds are far under the weatherby claim of 1.5" at 100yds.
For deer, I have my highest percentage of on the spot kills with 3006 220's. (also big fan of .300 Sav. 180's). And very minimal meat loss, should I miss a little forward and catch a shoulder. I'm all about meat, and from my perspective that equates to big and slow, and consistent pass through...

forgot to add.... I know this is NEF.. I only have a Weatherby 06, but I do have NEF 45-70. I am very pleased with accuracy, and maintaining at least one gun open sights. The recoil is way overblown...
Most important from me is that after all these years, as a hunter my
preference is Corelokds.. Again, big slow bullets have been very very good to me in the hunt.
