What grease to use on choke tubes?
« on: December 30, 2004, 04:48:43 PM »
I just bought a Topper Deluxe Classic.  I also purchased an improved modified choke tube to replace the modified tube that came with the gun.

Here's my question: where can I find the proper grease for the choke tube threads?  If I can't find grease made specifically for this purpose, what can I use as a substitute?

If you can't find the regular choke tube grease the hardware or automotive store should have a product called never-sieze that should work or you can use breech plug grease for black powder guns that will do the trick. :D

I bought a tube of choke lube last year. It looks suspiciously like automotive style anti-seize. The tube I bought might last forever, a little goes a long way.

The tube of choke tube lube was from Birchwood Casey. (I just wanted to type all those ubes together). :)
