Got a 2005 NEF/H&R Catalog Today. Really Suprised!
« on: December 28, 2004, 10:45:47 AM »
Only new caliber showing in rifles was the 500 S&W.  But along with the different versions of the pump shotgun, they now have semi-autos and over-and-unders.  The O/Us are pretty good looking and there's also a Classic Deluxe Topper in 20 ga.  The .17M2 made it into the Sportster.  There is a new rifle.  It's the Ultra Varmint Fluted with a survivor type synthetic stock and a bench rest adjustment on the forearm.  Calibers are 204 Ruger, 22-250, and 223.

As a sidebar, Marlin's coming out with side-by-sides and over-and-unders.

Those would be the LC Smiths, I do believe!!! Marlin is also coming out with a 17M2 semi-auto!!! The 17M2 Sportster is a 2004 release, I have had one for a couple months now. The fluted Ultras with the synthetic stock have been discussed for a while, but thanks...They must be keeping the 7.62x39 and .357 mag a secret!!!

Is there a .17HMR with wood or laminate stocks in it.  I'm about to order the Sporter with Composite and then try to scrounge up some wood for it.  It would be a lot easier to do it in one transaction.  Gotta have it in time for the sod poodles.

They should have this stuff on their website already if their catalog is ready. It's ridiculous that in this day and age a company has a print source ready before the electronic  .

Humph... The mail must be extremely slow in my neck of the woods the H&R/NEF catalog I received last week says "2004 Sporting Firearms" on it .  It does have the partner pump, the Sportster SL autoloader and the Topper Deluxe in it.  Anyone else just recently get the 2004 catalog in the mail?

The www.hr1871.com web site shows the 500 S&W and has 2005 H&R 1871 LLC at the bottom of the firearms page, but none of the other new firearms. The acc barrel page is dated 2003!!!

Walmart has a better online catalog of Marlin and H&R 1871 than their own websites.

http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp?cat=170091&path=0%3A4125%3A4155%3A170080%3A170091

Note: Some are listed as New England and some listed as H&R 1871. Be sure to check both listings, I found the new .22mag Ultra under the H&R 1871 listing. I gotta have that .22mag Ultra

Hope everyone had a Very Merry CHRISTmas and got just what you wanted.

One thing I noticed about the catalog is no American made on any pages I would think they would brag about the ones made in the US. :?
