Remington Clothing
« on: December 27, 2004, 06:04:54 AM »
Everyone talks about the guns Remington makes, but I have a story about Remington clothes. I bought a pair of bibs and the goose down jacket about 2 years ago (that cost almost $300  ). The only thing I dislike about them is that they are not 100% waterproof as was the guarantee (but nothing is 100% anymore). Today was the opener of the late archery and muzzleloader season, and as I donned my gun and gear, the thermometer read about 10 degrees. And the wind was whipping around the fresh snow we had gotten last night. I hiked out to my stand, sat for about an hour, then did some still hunting covering almost 2 miles of ground total and then headed back in. In the whole time, the only things that got cold were my face (and that was because my facemask was being spread open by the wind and letting that cold air seep in) and my hands (because I was wearing leather gloves that probably weren't the warmest). But the rest of my body was as warm as toast, even as I crossed a half mile long field and the wind ripped through my face mask; it didn't even touch the Remington clothes. I guess they're just that good  .  :D
