my buddy and i recently came up with an excellent idea. we where browsing the cabelas catalog and our eyes fell upon a set of browning gauge reduction tubes. now this little puppys sell for $50(US) a pop, but we figured why not make them at tech school? we can buy 12 feet of aluminum bar for about $80, and you can make a couple dozen out of each bar. it take's about 3 hours to make one on a manual lathe, but we are planning to write a CNC program that could make one in a matter of minutes. our plan is to sell a full set of 12ga tubes for $100. a full set consists of 16, 20, 28, and .410. i would like to know what some of you guys think of this idea. maybe there's a discount for forum users?
