Value on Revelation 220B
« on: January 12, 2005, 12:01:43 PM »
I was in the local pawn shop today browsing and noticed a Revelations 220B in .243 Win that kinda peaked my interest.  After looking it up in a comparison table it looks like it is a store branded Mossberg 800.  Bluing is at about 70%.  Stock finish is worn but not terrible (and I enjoy refinishing stocks anyways).  Bore looks good.  Bright will visible rifling, though it might be microgroove (the grooves aren't as deep as with my other rifles but there were many more of them).  Asking price was $230, thought the clerk said he could go down to $190. Is this worth it or should I pass?

Thanks.

I would pass, I don't see how it could be worth more than $150 in the condition you describe. Probably more like $125.
